
Dr Amber Marshall

Dr Amber Marshall is a Lecturer in Management at Griffith University, specialising in digital inclusion and rural development. Her research explores how individuals, organisations, and communities connect and adopt digital technologies, with a focus on improving digital skills and capability in remote and regional Australia.
Amber’s work spans digital inclusion ecosystems, telecommunications infrastructure, AgTech and data use, and the social aspects of connectivity. She applies participatory research methods and works closely with local stakeholders to translate research into practical outcomes.
She has collaborated with partners including the Queensland Government, Australia Post, Mornington Shire Council, Queenslanders with Disability Network, The Smith Family, and Good Things Foundation to improve access and digital literacy among rural communities, people living with disability, low-income families, and Indigenous communities
