ACCAN recently submitted to the ACCC’s review of the Broadband Speed Claims Industry Guidance. The guidance advises retailers on how to accurately advertise broadband speeds to consumers. This update was prompted by NBN’s announcement of accelerated speed tiers that will be introduced in September 2025.

A sender ID is an alphanumeric message header that appears at the top of SMS/MMS messages. It tells you who the message is from.

ACCAN recently submitted to the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA)'s consultation on new rules on telco complaints handling. The ACMA has amended the Telecommunications (Consumer Complaints Handling) Industry Standard 2018 after the Optus outage of November 2023 exposed issues with the complaints handling processes of telecommunications providers.
