Scams Prevention Framework - Draft law package and position paper

The Scams Prevention Framework (SPF) is designed to help protect consumers from scams across banking, telco, and digital platform services. Under the framework, businesses will need to take reasonable steps to prevent, detect, disrupt, respond, and report scams.

ACCAN recently submitted to the Treasury’s consultation on the Scams Prevention Framework - Draft law package and position paper. ACCAN’s submission makes a series of recommendations to bolster the SPF to ensure it works in the interests of consumers.
