Proposed Annual Carrier Licence Charge 2024-25

ACCAN recently submitted to the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA)’s proposed Annual Carrier Licence Charge (ACLC) 2024-25.  

ACCAN is concerned the ACMA’s costs of its compliance, enforcement and consumer safeguards activities has fallen from the previous year. 

The submission recommends the ACMA: 

  1. Clarify the reasons for the drop in costs noted at Ref C4 of the Cost Recovery Implementation Statement 

  2. Increase resourcing for compliance and enforcement of telecommunications consumer protections
