TIO Terms of Reference 2024

ACCAN recently submitted to the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO)’s consultation on its proposed amendments to the Terms of Reference (ToR) 2024.

Our submission supported:

• The proposed changes to the ToR clarifying the TIO’s power to handle SIP connection complaints.

• The inclusion of direct reference to the legal obligations of members under the Telecommunications (Consumer Complaints Handling) Industry Standard 2018 being placed in the ToR.

• The TIO providing more clarity on its ability to handle complaints from occupiers about the TIO members' behaviour.
